ProActive Kids is an 8-week exercise program designed specifically for kids between the ages of 10 – 18yrs.
Exercise is a very important part of life, and kids who enjoy exercise tend to be active as adults.
It is recommended that kids are active for 60 minutes or more on most if not all days of the week.
Exercise is necessary to maintain a healthy weight, build strength and coordination, produce stronger muscles and bones, decrease the risk of type 2 diabetes and other diseases and provide a better outlook on life.
Research shows us that many kids spend up to 6 hours a day on sedentary media such TV, computers and video games. No wonder they don’t find time to be active!
ProActive Kids offers kids a fun opportunity to help them get fit, stay fit and be healthy.
We understand that not everyone likes exercise. This goes for both kids and adults. But never-the-less everyone needs to be active to stay healthy. Often it is just a case of finding the right kind of activity. Exercise should be fun. Not everyone is into team sports, not everyone has the motivation to go out for a run or a bike ride, so even if your child is not “the sporty type” ProActive Kids is for them.
ProActive Kids provides a non-competitive environment which allows every type of person to gain activity status. Whether your child is an elite sports person destined to be captain of their varsity rugby team or a child who dislikes and avoids exercise, Proactive Kids is for them.
ProActive Kids includes indoor cycling, supervised use of gym equipment, boxing, circuit training and will help your child to develop a healthy attitude towards exercise.
